I kinda like that idea better then my kennel idea... I mean it does two nice things. allows your pets to roam around your Guild hall (which give the hall some more functionality) AND it allows you to go get it later if you want a particular pet... Very interesting concept...

Default Pet Storage

I think it would be quite nice if, instead of selling pets to Jarrel the Tamer (or the Canthan equivalent), we should be able to store them in our guild hall. Then, we could cycle between pets when we wanted to. It would be great fun to collect all the pets and have them at level 20, then cycle between them (ie you could use Dire in BPing, Hearty for certain solo farms etc and also show off your menagarie to your guildies).

For example I have a spider. I'd love to cap an Emo Moa Bird, or white tiger, but cannot because I can't get rid of my current pet (well, won't).

Anyone feel the some way? I'm sure lots of us would love to keep pets

One major problem with pets is that you spend time training one pet, then have to discard it to change pets and then have a low level pet till you train it again.

My way of handling the mutliple pet issue with factions would be for you to be allowed to have multiple charm animals in your skill list, and when you tame a pet it changes to an icon describing the pet (its level, name and type). Naturally you would have to buy each "charm" skilll seperate and could only ever have 1 pet or charm on your bar at one time. Then you can eaither train your low level one, or pull out the lvl 20 one if you need it for a difficult mission.

have charm animal as more of a signet of capture just for rangers, so it becomes say "Signet of Taming" you use it "Signet of Tamed Moa Bird" or something.

I think that would be nice, all other charactes can switch types of builds easily, but its hard work if your a Beast Master and want to deal a different type of damage, or use a different type of Elder pet.

I like that idea a lot. But only if charm animal that people have ATM is changed into a charm signet, or we will lose our pets.

I'd enjoy the feature -- but it would be a pretty hefty thing just for favoring rangers. Do warriors get a cache to store extra swords?

The more elegant solution would be to turn pets into items.

It's really a pain to have to turn your pet in to the trainer before you can get a new one. Sometimes (especially how I play -- avoiding spoilers!) you run into a pet you really want to get, but you can't, because you have one following you already.

It would be nice if you could turn in your pets to a zoo, and if you turned in a max level pet, you could come back and reclaim it later, that way you could possibly have several max level pets to switch around freely, kind of like henchmen selection, except augmented for pets.

Yes. Inventory and Xunlai Account ^^

Just one question though; is bumping allowed on this board? Because so far most people have /signed this, but it keeps getting pushed off the page by more ideas.

Also Lyra_song - sorry, I didn't realise. I looked through the index to check and I couldn't find it there, so I must havenot looked hard enough.

Charm and Comfort Animal skills should be merged into one.

No, I think that would be enormously imbalanced. It would be nice for rangers, but not for anyone else. For just 1 skill slot you could have a level 20 pet, ressable, that never takes DP. Add call of protection and it will be almost invincible against things like Ettins, especially since you can heal it as well.

For the Signet of Taming to become the Signet of <Tamed Animal>

And it is not like warriors who require storage for their weapons. Warriors do not require a skill in their skill bar that says: Sword Use - Allows the ability to wield swords in battle!

i like all of the ideas, i just dont want to dump my elder black widow T_T

...equipping pets like items would be nice, but that makes it quite imbalanced since you wouldnt need charm animal anymore, and they would have to work charm signets like elite skills, only one at a time

/signed for any kind of pet storage.
